About Civic Leadership Academy
Civic Leadership Academy (CLA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational, and grant-making organization to support nonprofit organizations, programs, community leaders nationwide focusing on civic engagement and civic leadership development by providing grants, training resources and networking opportunities, etc.
CLA was spun off from Civic Leadership USA (CLUSA), which was founded by Mr. Sandy Chau, chairman of the board of Civic Leadership USA.
The Team
Wen Yuan,
President
Wen has over 30 years of IT experience, specializing in Internet and video communication systems. He is very interested in Education and community services. He has been a longtime volunteer for Shin Shin Educational Foundation, a charitable organization supporting education in rural China. He currently serves as the president of Bridge Road International Foundation, a non-profit in California serving the local Chinese American Community. He is also a member of several other non-profit organizations.
Qing Bai
Director of Education
Both an MD and a Master in Human Genetics, Qing has had many years of professional working experience in a Silicon Valley Biotech company. She has 14 years of experience working in a local nonprofit education foundation leading and overseeing different departments and programs. Additionally, Qing is an active participant in the local community, served as a historical commissioner in the city of Los Altos for two terms, and was a board member and Action/DEI Director of the League of Women Voters Southwest Santa Clara Valley Chapter. She has a very strong interest and experience in education, community service, and social justice, and she possesses strong managing, communication, and interpersonal skills willing to contribute to strengthening our local community.
