Internship Grant Program

CLA partners with Civic Leadership USA (CLUSA) to offer the Internship Grant Program. The grant program helps AAPI organizations in training and developing young leaders in civic engagement. This year (2022), the Public Service Internship Grant Program goes back to CLUSA. Please check CLUSA website for more details.

The Young Leaders' Mini-Grant Program is a program designed to support passionate young leaders who are interested in designing and implementing community impact and civic engagement projects. The program aims to provide young leaders with real-world experiences that will help them develop their leadership skills and make a positive impact in their communities.

One of the primary components of the program is the opportunity for young leaders to present their project plans in front of professionals and the public. This is a chance for participants to gain valuable feedback and advice from experienced community leaders and receive support for their ideas.

Successful pitchers will be provided with a mini-grant and other resources necessary to execute their projects. This support enables young leaders to make their ideas a reality and see the impact they can have on their communities.

The Young Leaders' Mini-Grant Program also aims to inspire the audience to engage in community service and civic engagement. By showcasing the work of young leaders, the program hopes to create a ripple effect of inspiration that motivates more individuals to get involved in their communities.

In addition to connecting young leaders with the resources they need to succeed, the program also seeks to create connections between young leaders, community leaders, and organizations involved in community impact and civic engagement. By building these connections, the program hopes to create a network of individuals and organizations that can collaborate on future projects and make a lasting impact on their communities.

The Annual National Showcase and Award Ceremony is an event designed to recognize and celebrate the efforts of young students and civically engaged organizations from all over the United States. The event provides an opportunity for students to showcase the projects they have been working on that focus on community impact and civic engagement, with the aim of inspiring others to get involved in similar efforts.

To be considered for the showcase, students had to submit their projects, which can be started before 2023, but need to be completed by December 30th, 2023. The projects should be nonpartisan and centered on making a positive impact on their communities.

During the showcase, the finalists will have a chance to present their projects to an audience of peers, experts, and community leaders. The presentations will be informative and engaging, and the finalists will have an opportunity to share their experiences and the impact their projects have had on their communities.

After the presentations, the winners of the project awards will be announced. The awards recognize the efforts of young leaders who have demonstrated exceptional skills and commitment to making a positive change in their communities. The awards are designed to inspire and motivate others to get involved in similar efforts and to recognize the importance of civic engagement and community impact.

Overall, the National Showcase and Award Ceremony is an exciting event that celebrates the creativity, passion, and commitment of young leaders who are working to make a difference in their communities.
